Tamika "Tam" Curley has always had a passion for writing. She began writing poetry in junior high school and she later wrote for her high school newspaper, The Hi-Gusher. Many years later Tam circled back around to writing when she wrote a letter to the editor at The Clarion Ledger after relocating from California to Mississippi. She later joined The Jackson Free Press Tam Curley | Staff | Jackson Free Press | Jackson, MS and Boom Magazine BOOM Jackson v5n3 - Power Couples 2013 by Jackson Free Press Magazine - Issuu  (p. 58-59), first as an editorial intern, copy editor and finally as a freelance writer after going to work full-time, first for Phi Theta Kappa and then for the Mississippi State Board of Medical Licensure. Tam did not write again until early 2020, when she wrote briefly as an event writer/photographer for The Rambler Newspaper until the pandemic put a halt to that. Tam used skills she learned as an editorial intern, copy editor and freelance writer to self-publish her first book, Princess Sky's Hair Story: Curley, Tam, Dhananjanee, Ranodhya: 9781736723302: Amazon.com: Books and then Patches - Kindle edition by Curley, Tam. Tam is on a mission to self-publish a multitude of books for various audiences and assist new authors by offering ghost-writing, editing and proofreading services.
